For this week’s blog post, I asked Lamess to write a few words about her wedding day. It was the perfect summer day for a Calgary wedding. Fusion weddings – when two cultures come together – are some of our favourite events to photograph. It’s a celebration of love, family, and tradition while creating something entirely new and special.

“There are so many things that come to mind when I think about our wedding day; the excitement while getting ready, how handsome Ian looked in his suit, the sparkles on the flower girls’ dresses, the beautiful flowers, family, the list goes on and on! It is truly difficult to capture it all and describe a day of such pure joy and love. There is just something so special about celebrating your love and commitment to one another surrounded by your friends and family.

With Ian being in my life since we were in high school, it was indescribably special to get to stand across from him and say I do to a man who has been with me for so long, through all of the good and the bad. I’ve known he was the one for me since I first saw him on Valentine’s Day in the tenth grade, and through every moment up to today, eight years later. These first few months of marriage have been incredible, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us!”  – Ian & Lamess
