Yamnuska is one of the closest and easiest-to-hike mountain locations west of Calgary. With just under an hour of travel time, there is nothing closer to the city. The spot for Eric and Shelley’s engagement session is only a 45-minute hike with a few great spots along the way. If you want to go all out it’ll take about 1.5h to 2h depending on the location you want to go to. One of the best parts about this mountain is that you can pick so many incredible spots for your photo session for sunrise or sunset.

We love that more and more of our couples want to go to some of the more remote locations (which Banff National Park and Kananaskis Country have plenty!). This makes so much sense when you think about how unique and special your relationship is.
