The Three Sisters, September
Canmore sits in that rare sweet spot, small enough to feel human, grand enough to be genuinely breathtaking. The Three Sisters at golden hour. The Bow River in fall. The Nordic Centre in winter. We've photographed weddings at Cornerstone Theatre, Silvertip Resort, Malcolm Hotel, Copperstone Resort, and intimate backyard ceremonies with nothing but peaks in every direction.
What Canmore couples tend to have in common: they know what they want, they've thought about it carefully, and they care about the photographs. Those are our people.
We know every canyon, every meadow, and every back road that leads to something beautiful.

Every Canmore venue has its own personality, its own light, its own logistical quirks. Here's the honest rundown from photographers who've worked them all.
Canmore has an exceptional range. Silvertip Resort offers dramatic elevated views of the valley. Malcolm Hotel is classic and intimate with beautiful interiors. Cornerstone Theatre is architecturally striking with a raw, editorial quality. Copperstone Resort is more relaxed, great for larger guest lists. For outdoor ceremonies, the Bow Valley is genuinely unbeatable — no venue required, just a permit and a plan.
Neither is better - they're different. Banff is grander, more iconic, and requires National Park permits for photography. Canmore is more accessible, slightly more relaxed, and gives you more flexibility for outdoor portraits. Many couples choose Canmore for the venue and cross into Banff for ceremony and portrait locations. We do this all the time and it works beautifully.
Absolutely, and winter in Canmore might be our favourite. Snow-covered peaks, golden interior light, the quiet that only comes when the tourists have gone. It requires more planning (cold weather protocol for cameras, weather contingencies) but the photographs that come out of a Canmore winter wedding are unlike anything else.
Our studio is in Okotoks, about 90 minutes from Canmore. Travel to Canmore is included in our packages - no added fees. We typically arrive 30–45 minutes early to scout light and confirm locations before the day begins.

"They have this ability to adapt to each situation and find those little details that just make the photography stand out. We couldn't imagine trusting our day to anyone else."
If you've made it this far, you already know. We'd love to hear about your day.
